Say No to AI Photography: Celebrating Authenticity in 20th Century Masters
Emulating objects similar to those pictured in classic photographs requires shooting real life versions.

These days, all one has to do to generate an image is to use Artificial Intelligence by typing in a command that describes what you want in your photograph.
I’m not an expert in AI and its ability, but I have tried it a few times on a couple of photos while working in Photoshop 2024.
Indeed, I was impressed with its almost-perfect photo editing when removing a person from a photo and replacing it with what was shown in the background behind the person.
I didn’t care for trying to create an image from the words I used to describe it.
Yet, I had to try it anyway—the results were alarming—terrifying, horrible…laughable.
Emulating objects in Photoshop 2024 is akin to the text of fake news: thoughtless, artificial, and boring.
I refuse to concede using generative magic today, not tomorrow either, and certainly not ten years from now, when the platform will surely excel and be even more widely used.
