Finding a television set that is aesthetically appealing today is like looking for a peacock in a flock of pigeons. There just aren’t any.

The 1960s brought superior design to architecture, furniture, home appliances, and electronics. Since then, visual appeal for electronics has taken a nose dive.

The antics of the old boob tube, as it was once known, were creative cultural masterpieces back then; they also have been perfect material to make fun of today. At the same time, the electronic design of the screens you watch them on hasn’t nearly been as well-developed as in the past.
