The acronym DEI was initially associated with the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s as a holistic approach to addressing diversity, equity, and inclusion, collectively creating a term to define social inequality.
Today, the acronym DEI has spawned misinformation, book bans, unruly school board meetings, political turmoil, and an educational crisis, which haven’t been experienced in decades.
